AAG WA Presents a hybrid event: Translating Research into Ageing and Aged Care Practice (face to face registration)

This one day conference brings together leading researchers, practitioners, industry partners and community voices to explore how research evidence can be translated into meaningful ageing and aged care practice. Dr Claudia Meyer (immediate past President of AAG) will deliver a keynote on the pragmatic implementation of evidence into aged care.

The program features speakers showcasing innovative approaches to improving the wellbeing of older adults, alongside a panel incorporating industry, government and lived experience perspectives on effective collaboration and research translation.

Sessions highlight First Nations led research, workforce capability, collaborative models of care, and new interventions supporting older adults and caregivers.

Designed for practitioners, policymakers, researchers and service providers, the event offers practical insights, real world examples and opportunities to strengthen partnerships that drive better outcomes in ageing and aged care.

  • Learn practical, evidence informed strategies for applying research in real world ageing and aged care settings.
  • Hear from leading experts on First Nations led research, workforce capability, falls prevention, dementia support and caregiver interventions.
  • Gain insights from an industry–government–research–consumer panel on effective collaboration and pathways for research translation.
  • Connect with practitioners, policymakers, researchers and service providers committed to strengthening ageing and aged care outcomes in Western Australia.
