Suanne Lawrence Division Committee Board Representative I have been involved with AAG for many years – as a member, attending and presenting at the National Conference, a committee member and now the Chair of the Tasmanian branch. While my research and teaching interests have always aligned with AAG, being Chair has increased my awareness of the scope of AAG and the support it extends to members. My own interests are gerontological education, research and policy in preventing elder abuse (I am a member of the State Elder Abuse Prevention Advisory Committee), as well as developing research partnerships with aged care providers. If successful in this application, I will bring to the Board my experience in gerontology, the health system, work in the State public service, university teaching and research including project time and financial management. I am keen to support the AAG Board in my fullest capacity to enhance the organisation’s public standing |
